Mission Statement & Constitution

1.    Our fellowship exists to transform the members within it to become more like Christ in His intimacy with the Father, His character and His actions toward the lost. This is primarily achieved through the cultivation of Christ-centered relationships.

  • a.    Christ-centered relationships:

i. are intentional in directing us to become more like Christ
ii. involve keeping each other accountable to obeying the commands of Christ and submitting to His lordship (Matthew 28:19-20)
iii.  involve teaching, rebuking and encouraging with the Word, recognizing it as the foundation and guide of the Christian walk (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

  • b.   His intimacy with the Father:

i. Growing in our desire for God through consistency in and dependence on prayer (Mark 1:35) and the study of the Bible  (Psalm 1:2)

  • c.  His character:

i. Growing in the knowledge of His Person so as to better reflect His likeness (Ephesians 4:22-24)

  • d.    His actions toward the lost:

i. Through growing in our likeness of His character, we cultivate His heart of compassion to those who do not know Him (Matthew 9:36, 15:32)

2. Our fellowship also exists as an active Body of Christ’s believers on Queen’s campus and in the Kingston community.

  • a.    Involves sharing the Gospel in word (Romans 1:16-17)
  • b.    Involves living out the love of God in deed (1 John 4:7-1)
