Sidewalk sale is an event during frosh week where first years have the opportunity to go around and sign up and check out different clubs. As some of you may know, I’ve taken a term off of school to do missions for six months, about ten weeks of which I’ll be in Sumatra, Indonesia, ministering to the poor and needy there. I’m currently in the Gold Coast of Australia doing training as well as being involved in ministries (including intercession for the nations, evangelism to the poor and homeless, and others).

We’ll be travelling through rural villages in Indonesia to spread the good new of Jesus Christ and to minister to the needs of the people there. We willl do what God calls us to do there, whether it be healing the sick, raising the dead or simply digging a pit. The area that we’re ministering to is a predominantly Muslim territory, as such, the Gospel is much needed there. We want to be a team that penetrates their culture deeply with the power and message of Jesus Christ and His resurrection.

Currently our team is made up of many nationalities, including: Mexican, Norwegian, Canadian, Taiwanese (me), Malaysian, Kiwi, American, and Australian. The base itself is filled with even more nationalities, all working to bring about Glory to Jesus Christ.

We expect Jesus to deliver people. We expect Jesus to do miracles. We expect Jesus to bring salvation.

We expect ourselves to decrease, and we expect God to increase. We wait eagerly for God’s love and power to be shown to the people of Indonesia through us.

Below are the nominees for next year’s committee. As you read the list, we encourage you to first and foremost put your faith in God and in His power to use those who are willing to be used by Him,  rather than in human logic or even in these nominees themselves. Take time to pray this weekend, asking the Lord to confirm in your heart that these are the people that He has called to serve as your leaders next year.

Voting will take place Tuesday night, March 10 from 6:00-11:00pm @ Mac-Corry E230. The vote is a vote of confidence, and on the ballot, you will be asked the question, “Do you have faith that God has called these nominees to serve on KCCF’s 09-10 committee?” You will be asked to vote either “yes” or “no” for each nominee. We encourage you to come vote as an act of stepping out in faith that God has called these people. We also encourage you to voice your opinion if you have any serious concerns about these nominees. If your vote is “no”, NomCom is more than willing to talk with you about it. In the case that the “no” is valid, NomCom will be responsible to find a candidate to replace the nominee.

If you really cannot make it at any time between 6:00-11:00pm, there will be a proxy vote posted on the website in the weekend. It will be an online ballot, which you can print, fill out, and ask a friend to bring to the voting station for you. A person can only bring one proxy.

English Vice-Chair – The English Vice-Chair will support the chair, and assist the chair in acting on all official KCCF matters when the chair is absent. He or she will also act as the liaison between the AMS and KCCF, maintain the KCCF emailing list, and make weekly annoucements at KCCF.

Chinese Vice-Chair – The Chinese Vice-Chair will support the chair and mediate between the Chinese and English KCCF sides. He or she will also oversee, support, and build up the Chinese cellgroups; organize outreach events for the Chinese speaking population on campus; and act as a liaison between KCAC and KCCF.

Bible Study Coordinators (BSCs) - There are three BSCs, and they are in charge of cellgroup organization and bible study organization. They are also responsible for supporting and training the cellgroup leaders.

Devotional and Discipleship Coordinators (DDC) – The DDC is responsible for coordinating and encouraging the discipleship and devotional aspects of members in KCCF.

Treasurer – The treasurer is responsible for preparing the budget and financial statements of KCCF; collecting and distributing all funds belonging to KCCF; and encouraging members to support the financial needs of KCCF through prayer and offerings.

Outreach Coordinator- The outreach coordinator is responsible for coordinating all outreach efforts of the fellowship. This could include organizing outreach ministries, fellowship outreach nights, or evangelistic meetings.

Prayer Coordinator- The prayer coordinator organizes prayer events, either as separate meetings or as part of fellowship meetings. He or she also represents KCCF at inter-fellowship prayer meetings, coordinates and supports prayer meeting leaders, and encourages members to develop a healthy prayer life.

Worship Coordinator – The worship coordinator organizes the worship program for weekly fellowship meetings and arranges for and transports worship equipment. In addition to this, he or she selects and supports worship team leaders and worship team members.

Retreat Coordinator – The retreat coordinator is responsible for organizing Winter Retreat and for chairing the retreat subcom.
